It brings me great pleasure to do what I love, being creative every day. Whether I’m photographing a beautiful sunrise in the great northwest, sketching in my sketchbook or illustrating in Photoshop. I feel so blessed having the ability to share my creativity.
My Roots
I was born in Virginia, grew up in Georgia with two brothers, we loved to travel and camp. The summer of 1978 my grandparents took me and my brothers across America in their camper trailer from Georgia to their home in Oregon. I experienced six weeks of pure joy and some of the best memories I have as a kid. This was the seed planted for my love of the great outdoors!
I’ve been a graphic designer and illustrator for 25 years and you’ll rarely see me without my camera. My true passion for photography started later in life when our 11-year old yellow Labrador retriever, was diagnosed with cancer. That was the day I began recording her everyday life, with my SLR film camera. She did survive cancer, thanks to WSU medicine. I’ve been a self-taught photographer ever since … and the rest is history.
