I’m relatively new to the world of photography, having picked up my 1st DSLR in 2015. I am a scientist by day and don’t have as much time to get out and photograph as I would like. I am strictly a hobbyist, but over the last few years photography has become a creative outlet that I didn’t realize I needed. I have come to love the whole process from making an image in the field, to processing it at home, and then printing my own work. I find looking at those prints really brings back the memories and emotions in a way that the computer screen never does. I am looking forward to the opportunity to interact with and learn from everyone in the NPN. It’s on my to-do list to construct a webpage, but in the meantime I have included the link to my Instagram account below (@jdakatz) where I share some of my work at the moment.
