Keith is an Albuquerque New Mexico based nature photographer and photographic instructor. His extensive background in photography started with traditional black & white film and darkroom work, continued through college in a professional studio specializing in portraits, weddings and commercial photography, and has continued with a passion for nature photography and education.
With and academic background in computer science, the marriage of computing and digital photography came easily. Keith took advantage of this to become a digital post processing specialist and instructor. His special areas of interest in photography are wildlife and nature photography, creating images of simple, yet compelling stories.
His is an active member of the North American Nature Photographers Association, a staff member with Nature Photographers Network in the role of moderator in the Avian image critique gallery.
Notable awards include first place in the Avian category in 2020 NANPA Showcase, first place in the Best of Visual Wilderness contest and winner of the Professional Photographers of New Mexico Selection for the best of show ad the Annual New Mexico Photography Art Show.
Keith Leads Workshops at Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, Costa Rica and Chile. He also provides one on one instruction for clients in Albuquerque and across the U.S. via screen sharing technology.
He retired from a career in software from Sandia National Laboratory in early 2017.
