My photography is an out growth of a love of nature that began as a child growing up in various small towns across Nebraska. Beginning as an 8-10 year old, I was able to walk a few blocks to get out of town and into the woods along a river or the grassy hills and go “exploring” on my own or with friends. I’ve been taking photographs regularly since 1980. Starting with slide film and switching to digital in2006 after the first full frame digital sensors were introduced. I enjoy the full range of possible subjects from grand landscapes to natural abstracts and macro. My wife and I spend about 8 months living in the Washington DC suburbs and 4 months in our Montana home, 30 minutes North of Yellowstone.
