I am 63 years old and have been involved in amateur photography most of my adult life.
I started out with a totally manual 35mm film camera, then onto several low end digital cameras.
Now I have a full frame Sony A7R IV, it was well worth the investment because of the high resolution and high dynamic range, the high resolution and high dynamic range available nowadays is what re-ignited my interest in photography.
The macro world is probably my favorite but I have experience in most genres of photography including architecture and portraits of people.
I have a passion for photo art but I have only recently started practicing that art again.
I am lacking any real experience in B&W editing, but have shots many rolls of B&W film in my early days.
I retired a few years ago so I am now enjoying the time I can spend on my passion of nature photography.

BTW, if you are wondering why I chose a squirrel for my profile picture, look close because it has a stink bug on its ear. It adds literal meaning to the old saying: “I Put a Bug in His Ear”
