I am a retired educator, photography enthusiast and photography historian, spending my days reading biographies about photographers past and present as well as collecting photography and art books. When not reading or collecting, I am out in the field, perfecting my composition and framing skills, searching out new settings, and learning how to make the best use of my equipment. My photography focus is primarily landscape and nature, the latter being a new and challenging venture.
As an educator, specializing in language arts, reading and humanities, I used images in both art and photography in my instructional practices in order to stimulate analysis, critical thinking and imagination that would lead to students reflecting and writing as well as crafting their own images.
