My name is Ricardo Salvo, and I was born in Lisbon in 1972. Photography has been one of my greatest pleasures for almost 40 years. Unlike other hobbies that I handle intermittently, photography is the activity that fascinates me consistently. Professionally, it was in communication that I created roots in almost two decades as a journalist and, more recently, as a consultant. This career is probably relevant to my way of defining information and message. I push myself to make my photography reflect the constant mixture of my emotions without fear of manoeuvring them to influence how I feel when photographing. That is why I refuse to define a style for myself for fear of compromising the principle of photographing everything that is photographable, without labels or ties. But I always see a legacy, a permanent way of life in photography, as long as it is done freely.
