Born in 1963, I am a passionate German/American wildlife and nature photographer. I started my carrier as a certified photo-lab technician, applied my skills while serving with the German Air Force and seriously got into wildlife photography after moving with my wife to the US. Though I won a few minor awards (e.g., 1st place St Augustine, FL Alligator Farm, 2004), spending time in nature and trying to take the perfect shot is even more rewarding for me. I have used film and digital equipment from Nikon and Hasselblad. Currently my favorite tool is a Nikon D810.
