Started out on film in the 70’s and had to set the camera aside due to time restraints. I’m nearing retirement and now have the time to photograph again. However, this time I’m shooting digital. With my manual film experience, I have a solid understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO. It was an easy transition to shooting manual digital. My compositions need work and have improved over the past couple of years.
The biggest hurdle I have faced is post processing (PP). From what I have experienced, taking a good photo is only half the process. To be a great photo you need proper PP. I spend a lot of time in PP.
I’m looking for a forum where I can experience good photography, receive honest constructive criticism and have a dialog with others who share my interest. From everything that I have heard and read, this is that forum.
