Retired engineer and intellectual property specialist residing in Washington State about 15 miles south of Olympia. We’re located in an old glacial outwash prairie with a wooded area behind us.
Most of what I have learned about bird photography is thanks to this site where I’ve been an active member since 2008.
I do mostly bird and flower photography with occasional forays into other subject matter. I’ve set up a permanent blind in a small copse of Douglas Fir on our property, so I get a fair number of woodland birds as well as the prairie species. Much of my photography is done on the property.
My go-to equipment for bird and wildlife photography is a Sony A1 with the FE 200-600 lens, with and without a 1.4 TC.
