Hey there, my name is Jose Torres! I’m a part-time nature and travel photographer and full time Surgical Technologist. I grew up in Puerto Rico, and then moved to Tampa Florida. A little history of my journey into the field of photography; One day my wife and I were watching a TV show on PBS. The program was Ken Burns’ “The National Parks-America’s Best Idea”. It impressed and impacted us so much that right then and there we decided that we were going to visit all the National Parks in America. In May of 2011 we began that journey, starting with Crater Lake and Redwoods National Park. After visiting about twelve other National Parks, our little Canon point and shoot broke down (In the middle of our Yosemite vacation, (SMH). That is when I decided to purchase my first DSLR and made a commitment to myself to capture these amazing places in photographs. My family and I really enjoy going to these wild places and use the camera as an excuse to be out late into the sunset and straight into the dark of night. They are even willing to get up at zero dark thirty to catch a beautiful sunrise as a family (So Far). After an additional twenty parks added to our list of National Parks. I have realized that I really enjoy sharing the images that I have been able to capture. As a result, I have been working really hard in honing my skills as a photographer to make the beat photos out of every trip we take.
