I’m a nature photographer based in central Virginia, drawn to the overlooked and the easily dismissed — small moments of light, shape, and texture that most people pass by. My work is about slowing down and seeing again. I want viewers to feel like they’ve stumbled across something familiar but strange, or something entirely new hiding in plain sight.

I photograph landscapes, plants, and wildlife, especially in the folds and edges of the Blue Ridge. My background in tech taught me precision; photography reminds me to let go of control. I believe the best photographs invite the viewer to linger — not just to look, but to wonder.

Lately, I’ve been drawn to a more honest form of seeing — one that respects what’s in front of me but doesn’t pretend to be neutral. The color, contrast, and tone in my images reflect how I felt in the moment, not just what was there. I work with styles and tools that bring out the character of the light as I saw it — sometimes moody, sometimes velvet-rich, but always mine. It’s nature, rendered faithfully through a personal lens.
