I’m a weekend nature photographer in north-central Indiana. I learned the basics shooting miles of T-MAX film and spent countless hours in the darkroom before stepping away from photography nearly 30 years ago. After years of searching for a creative outlet, I found my way back to the camera on a fall hike with my husband in 2025.
When I’m behind the camera, the world disappears. I stop hearing what’s around me and focus entirely on what I see through the lens. It’s risky. My husband jokes that he has to keep his head on a swivel because I’m prone to drifting off the trail. That total immersion is what keeps me coming back.
I’m drawn to light and wildlife. I work exclusively in natural light, prefer restrained edits, and care less about spectacle than about moments, feeling, and simply being present.
