I’m Shayne! I live in Nashville, TN but spend as much time as I can on the road adventuring with my wife and our dogs Max and Maze.

I’ve been serious about my photography since 2006 when I bought a Canon 30D on a credit card with horrible interest and started photographing concerts around Los Angeles for 50 bucks and a ticket to the show. Since then I’ve spent the past 16 years as a portrait photographer with my work largely focused on people. As I evolved in this work however it began to lose its ability to fulfill both my creative spirit and my desire to enjoy the act of photographing all together, I had to do something.

As a lifelong lover of the outdoors, I’ve always been drawn to the great wonder that surrounds us all and the utter miracle it is for us humans to have the great fortune to be here and now experiencing it first hand together. In an effort to quell the feeling of burn out I had been feeling about my work I started bringing my camera with me on hikes. And on a mountain in Boulder Colorado on a road trip with my wife I fell in love with making photographs all over again. I love the challenge photographing landscapes has brought back into my life and feel like I have so so much to learn. That’s why I’m here, to learn and grow and connect with other amazing landscape and nature photographers.
