I grew up in Salt Lake City and still can’t tell directions without imagining that east is where the sun rises over the Wasatch Mountains. After learning black and white darkroom photography in college, I lived in Bishop from 1980-1984 and fell in love with the Eastern Sierra, which remains my most often visited location. I’ve lived in San Francisco since 1984 and make frequent trips to the Sierra, various California locations, and Southern Utah. I’m an advanced Photoshop and LR user and when my wife is away I spend too much time on the computer. My photography is about awe and gratitude for the beauty of nature.
