When the barbet perches on a tree out of your window, you can get closer really. Captured this full with a perch, but cropped this to express the food it was carrying

That’s one heck of a mouthful, Balan. I think the portraitish crop works quite nicely for this image and really does emphasize the mouthful of berries. The tiny bit of light in the iris helps a lot to make the shaded side of the head work. The only issue I see is that the image, as presented, is quite small. Most folks are posting at 1500 to 2000 pixels on the long edge these days. For this particular image, I don’t think that’s critical, but for subjects smaller in the frame, it can make assessing image quality more difficult.
