I think centered works here, Alice. I don’t think it would work as well with more on one side or the other, though I could see the frame a bit wider if you have it.
Alice, that’s a big boulder trapped between the two cliffs. Sure leaves me wondering about how it got there… There’s a thin stick coming in from the bottom that it would be good remove.
Alice, Nice vertical composition - I also like the simplicity of the image. I don’t see much difference in your two versions. In color, I find the blue sky a bit distracting, as the eye goes right to the brightest part of the image. You might darken the sky more or consider a black and white conversion.
