Hey John! I really dig this shot! The randomness of nature is funny and that comes through in this shot. Your use of compression and lines is great, and that’s not easy to do when you don’t have a horizon line. This shot looks like it could possibly be two photos to me. One for the tree section at the top that might be cropped to something like 8.5x11 and then another crop for the lone tree on the bottom. Sometimes if I’m having trouble with a composition I will just try breaking it up into multiple photos just to see what it looks like!
