Join James Rushforth for a Special Travel Photography Critique Event!
You are invited to a special presentation with acclaimed travel photographer, author, and adventurer James Rushforth. This week, James will provide feedback and critique on your travel photography submissions.
Exploration is James’s passion, and he brings a wealth of experience to the table, having authored eight guidebooks on photography, climbing, ski mountaineering, hiking, and travel.
While travel photography is a broad category, James believes its essence lies in capturing the spirit of a place—whether through landscape, portraiture, architecture, or cultural details. The most compelling images invite the viewer to see a destination through the photographer’s eyes, using creative composition and meaningful context. Elements like local people, distinctive architecture, natural features, and cultural motifs help to ground an image in its unique setting.
Throughout this event, James will focus on composition, processing, storytelling, use of light, and technical camera skills. His critiques are designed to be friendly, constructive, and insightful, encouraging reflection and growth as essential steps in every photographer’s journey.
He’s looking forward to seeing your images and sharing this creative experience with the community.
On May 5th, you may begin submitting images (only 1 per day, please) based on the theme. You will have three days to submit images, and the guest will have five days to respond.
This event is only open to NPN members. If you are not a member yet, please Join Now!
