About This Image

This is a waterfall in Iceland, actually the largest waterfall in Europe and it’s called Dettifoss. Iceland is really a land of waterfalls and is one of the more impressive falls. But there are others that are just as spectacular and even more so If one is willing to drive the beaten path.

The textures in this image a very interesting, David. I like the way the land forms lead the eye to the rainbow and on into the distance. My personal reaction to this image is that there’s a bit too much going on in it for my taste. I keep wanting to concentrate on particular features within the image rather than the overall landscape. That said, this certainly fits the “Geological Wonders” theme.
