Description
After exploring for backroad wildflowers, yesterday, we drove past this Bald Eagle sitting in a snag alongside the road. It allowed me to open the car door and take a few shots against the sky with thunderstorms brewing.

Mark, you can’t get any more majestic than a bald eagle. Obviously this benchmarks the WC from below theme for sure. The impending storm & forming cloud bank adds to the seemingly watchful look on the eagle. The crossing “X” branch might hold some kind of ominous message there too… 
You mentioned yesterday along the roadside, was this Montana I assume?.. 
Paul, while there are plenty of Bald Eagles in Maryland, the roadsides are not sparsely lined with trees, so yes, it’s Montana
