About This Image

Photographed in Scotland . This is an icon as most of you know. I have many views of it and find this most appealing. I have processed this some, using David Kingham’s Rethink tools - these make editing a lot easier.

The question is, have I overdone it ? And where ?

Some areas may be a bit more contrasty perhaps but perhaps you can open my eyes to something else?!

Beautifully composed, Karl. I don’t see anything that looks overdone in this image, but these kinds of images aren’t something I normally look at, so I don’t have much to compare it with. The lighting looks beautiful. It’s a matter of taste, but I’d probably pull the right side in past the small partial bush on the riverbank. That’s the only tiny nit I can think of on this image.

I really like this! The colour of the castle is particularly nice and of course the leading line of the bridge is fantastic. It must have been a great trip!

I agree with the other comments. This is nicely done and has a lot of character. The crop suggestion is spot-on.

Nicely done!
