Description
People often ask why I live in Arizona. Yes, the heat in the summer is brutal, but when the monsoons hit just right during that time, well, to me, with moments such as this, it makes all the sweating worth the while; scenes like this, with a rainbow accentuating these stunning clouds, the moon gently peaking through the clouds. It is moments like this that also make one realize how very small we are in the grand scheme of things.

All feedback welcomed.

Absolutely stunning, Fritz. You are right, moments like this are so precious. Nicely done!
Fritz, this is quite a dramatic sky with the rainbow being a fine extra. Since there’s not a lot of color showing in the rainbow, I’m thinking that converting to B&@W might look good by letting you push the contrast in the sky. BTW, I think you missed posting this within Clouds WC window.

Thank you, Mark; I’m quite partial to BW, so will give that a try. As for posting, I did post the image on Saturday, but the colors looked off on NPN’s page, so I reposted the photo on Sunday. No biggie either way. Also, just curious if I was the only one with off colors on the NPN site…
Fritz, I haven’t seen any other complaints about NPN’s colors being off…let’s blame Microsoft and the world wide windows problems…
I like that, Mark! Always good to have a scapegoat

In all seriousness though, I included a side by side screenshot of how the same image looks on my screen, vs how it looks on NPNs site. There is, to my eyes, a huge difference in tone and saturation… and yes, I am a fanatic on keeping my screen calibrated on a regular basis…
Thank you Linda. And it is that time of year again! Although there have not been many strong monsoon storms yet…
