Looks pretty good as presented. Maybe a tinge more room overall as the comp is pretty tight. I like the perch and the woodpecker is nicely positioned in the frame…Jim

I agree with Jim on this image, opening up the frame on the left and top will improve the overall look of this photograph.

A third vote for opening this up a bit, Sandy. The woodpecker fits the frame nicely, but that stump feels pretty crowded and it plays a significant role in the image.
Hi Sandy, nice to see a Hairy WP even if it’s from long ago. I like the pose and being able to see the long beak (compared to a Downy anyway). I’m okay with this crop even though experimenting with a looser version could be interesting.
