There have been numerous old structures posted recently here in Non-Nature as well as the current weekly challenge. I thought I’d submit this one from 2006. It’s gone now but at the time was a really fun place to shoot. I have a whole series of outdoor and indoor images of this old home.
@Tony_Kuyper suggested a sky replacement. Never have done that before, but here you go:
What technical feedback would you like if any?

That is an old place. It looks like a gentle breeze would knock over the chimney. Neat homestead from days past.

Thanks, @Harley_Goldman. Yes it was an old place all right. It was such a fun place and I think this shot with the windmill spinning made it work…
Is there a superlative for weathered? (Photogenic???) Cool at the windmill is still hanging in. This is a gem – I’d love to see some from the inside!
Love the elements here, but they are just begging for a sky-replacement. Have a little mercy.

Ok @Tony_Kuyper you’re a bad influence. My first ever sky replacement above.
OH MY!!! That sky replacement is SO GOOD! Not only technically, but the colors are gorgeous and the direction of the light works so well with the light on the building.
@Diane_Miller, I wish I could claim some skill in that sky replacement. It was scary easy to do. Just bring the image into Photoshop, use the magic wand tool to select the sky, add a bit of the tower to the selection, then choose Edit, Sky Replacement…This was the first sky that Photoshop chose.
Not something I want to do very often, but the technology is sure impressive.
