Another from my walk in the woods with the kids Saturday. Three camera swipes aimed at the same scene. The variation is pure chance – I don’t do this often enough to have any mastery. Luck favors the unprepared – out of some sort of cosmic kindness. I get a sort of woodland vibe but maybe because I know where I was.

These are well done, Diane. In the first one I see the light tone in the upper right as falling water.. That’s probably why I’m partial to the first one but I like them all.
These are lovely! And well done if I can steal from Don.
Hard pressed to pick a favorite, but I think I’m realling leaning on the first. I really like the whimsical, almost random nature of the movement, colors and patterns. Personally for me, I would crop out the white streaks in both the first and second; For me the streaks aren’t adding to the image, plus the space below is a bit empty. It’s all about the action/movement in the left 2/3rd’s.
The second image, I see bean sprouts… or whatever.. seeds going to sprout. This works really well. Again, not sure about the streaks on the right.
The last one, I really like how you’ve cropped this to only include the motioned patterns. Those patterns are pretty cool, and defining. The only suggestion there might be to reduce the contrast and/or boost those couple of darker areas. Probably lots of directions to take this one.
Pretty impressive to capture 3 distinct movements and results from the single scene. Well done!
Diane, these are all quite lovely. I see little fairy sprites. I am partial to the first. because of it’s random movements. The third one seems a little too orderly/organized. I agree about cropping off the white streaks. Beautiful work.
Thanks, @Glenys_Passier , @Don_Peters , @Lon_Overacker and @Michael_Lowe ! Sounds like the white streaks have to go, and I’ve posted new versions above that I do like better. On the thumbnails, I see the darker areas between the while streaks as tree trunks (which they are) and the lighter areas are background light, but in the larger versions they do look strange, And bean sprouts – I can see that, Lon!! Michael, the third one is strange – it looks almost like a multiple exposure, but is just one frame. I was trying different motions but would never be able to replicate any of them. This stuff is fun and often works when the light is bad for anything else.
I am glad I came across these ICM’s as I find them very enchanting. All are quite lovely, but I am partial to the latest revision as everything seems to be perfectly balanced within the frame. These are so light and airy and they remind me of the fireflies that visit my yard in the evening hours during the summer months. Beautifully done and congrats on the EP; well deserved!

Thanks, @Gill_Vanderlip ! Yes, all are of the same subject, just different camera wiggles, with no idea how they would turn out. It’s a Madrone limb with bright highlights on glossy leaves. The last one does remind me of a multiple exposure but it isn’t.
