About This Image

Driving along the banks of Loch Tay, came across this pleasing view - just as well i took this scenic route from Pitlochry to Glencoe - It was a pleasant surprise to find the winds so cooperative at 11 am!

Feedback Requested

My intention was to visit Scotland in the Fall - this was 2 weeks ago - Coming from New ENgland though, the colors here perhaps pale in comparison. I did boost some colors though and hopefully havent overdone it

Any other suggestions always appreciated!

Hi Karl, what a beautiful composition. The reflections draw my eye into the image to the idyllic scene. I think the colors are just right, they don’t feel over saturated to me. I might crop a little off the top. Well done!!

A lovely image, Karl. The colors, while not New England are quite nice and I love the water reflections in this image. the overall composition feels very good to me and there’s a nice flow to the image. I don’t see anything that I’d really want to change in this. Beautiful work.

This is fantastic, Karl. Every place has its palettes, and you se ti have timed this one beautifully.

My favorite thing about the photograph is the garage, not because it’s dominant or special, nor because it’s better than the colors or reflections, but because it is small in the frame and appears to be very traditional in its architecture. It places human life in this magical scenery.

It’s tempting to remove the trailers, or crop them out, but perhaps that’s part of the curiosity here.

No suggestions from me.

Beautiful scene Karl! You handled the exposure well with the partial shade, partial sunlit landscape. I don’t think you overcooked the saturation at all, it looks very natural. The composition is wonderful with the layering vertically through the image and the sunlit portion of the hill gives it a nice pop. I don’t really have any thing I would change, although I did think an alternate composition would be to crop out the grass at the bottom of the image.

Beautiful scene and composition. The saturation is high but not obviously too high
Cant suggest any improvements but its nice as is

Hi Karl,

What an idyllic scene! You handled the lighting beautifully and the yellow and green tones compliment each other perfectly in this image. The reflection is a big plus here as are the buildings. I am not sure any location can top the colors of autumn in New England, but it is always good to check out other locations. Very nicely done.
