This is a very intriguing image Bonnie, it is a very expressive image. It does make me think of a rock trapped in ice. Your processing of these has created a wonderful glow effect in the “ice” water.
Coming in late here, so not much to add. I think both reworks are an improvement over the original post. My preference would be to combine the water from rework #2 with the big rock from rework #1. I like the higher contrast look of the water in Rework #2, but like the darker, more saturated colors from Rework #1.
