I always consider it a good day of shooting when I get an eagle in front of my lens. The adrenaline is high, and I just enjoy the moment even if when I get back home, I am disappointed with my shots. They are all nice but I like the first one, with that slight head turn.

A very nice series and the first one is pretty nice. A slight improvement would be to bump up the shadows in the wings to pull out more details. Believe it or not, I am also fond of the third image. Although not an optimal pose, it has a very interesting appeal due to the pose and head turn. I would reduce the blues in the shadowed areas of the head and tail to help separate those areas from the blues of the BG. Well done…Jim

Looks like a great place to photograph Eagles, Peter. All of these are enjoyable, particularly the first two.

Hi Peter. Nice series with the second being my favorite. I think the bird could be moved further to the left though. Love the outstretched wings.

All well done, Peter. Though the third one is flying away, you caught a nice fanning of the tail and there is a head turn showing the eye. I also prefer the water over the blue sky.

All are very nice but the last one is special due to the splayed-out tail. I like @Jim_Zablotny’s idea of reducing the blue in the whites. Other than that, my main reaction is just jealousy!

Hi Shirley, Jim, Dennis, Allen Sparks, Allen Brooks & Diane
Thank you for your comments. Here is a reposted these three shots, with a bump in the shadows and reduced blues. The third photograph was picked based on the wings and head turn.
