Feedback Focus: Artistic + Technical
Where Feedback Would Help Most
I’d like feedback on whether the composition guides attention clearly, or whether anything pulls the eye away.
I’d appreciate feedback on whether the technical choices support what I was trying to express. I’d welcome thoughts on what would most strengthen this image, either artistically or technically.
Nice shot, Rahul. I like the the concept of putting delicate white flowers against giant dark mountains. I also like the depth of field in your image. White clouds provide the balance for white flowers with the dark dark zone between them. It’s a good composition.
I would chose a bit tighter crop at the bottom and top and both sides in order to bring up the main object and also eliminate pink flowers in both lower corners, and decrease the amount of sky. I would also darken the mountains to reinforce the contrast between flowers and the background, and darken the clouds a little. Finally I would turn up the flowers to make them more striking. I’m showing an example (not perfect) of the direction I would go.
Hi Rahul
Great Image and I like your crop. The Mortal flowers are a barrier between the viewer and the mountains but compositionally it works well with the title. The viewer explores the foreground (I would leave the pink flowers as they were there although I understand they could pull the eye as a distraction too) then moves backward to explore the mountains. You chose the composition which makes the foreground dominant and its not really possible to change. The narrative to me is bright Summer flowers against the background glacier.
ie the bright foreground against the blue mountains and while clouds - really well seen and captured
There are a few distractions - a couple of insects and a ?? balloon or sensor spot
