Mt. Baker in IR

Critique Style: Standard

The photographer is looking for thoughtful feedback on the image as a whole, especially around the areas noted below.

Feedback Focus: Artistic / Expressive

About This Image

This is Mt Baker taken with an Infra Red converted camera at 850nm. Basically, no visible color gets in to the sensor. Visible color is 400-720nm wave length. So, it is either absorbed, like sky, or reflected, like vegetation or solid objects. I am just starting to experiment with it and would like feedback, mostly about mood. Different from standard B&W. Gut feeling is just fine.

Don’t know what season this was taken, but the IR effect makes me feel like a crisp autumn day. I would crop off the oof tree on the left. Nice work.

Thanks. After I posted, I noticed the oof trees. Too late to change.

Very pleasing image. Agree with removing out of focus tree on left.
Mount Baker is a photogenic mountain and this image with the infrared does a great job of setting off the profile of the mountain.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.
