Paperbark

Image Description

Bundjalung National Park is one of our favoured “quick get away” camps. The park boasts the most beautiful rugged coast line and is bordered by Jerusalem Creek. This image was taken from the kayak as we paddled downstream to the ocean. The paperbarks (Melaleuca quinquenervia) are dominant here.

I like this one, Glennie. The tree limbs are interesting and the reflections are appealing. I have no suggestions to offer.

Glennie, the tangle of roots is set off well by the scattered yellows showing through. The abstract/distorted reflections make intriguing change-of-pace.

This is a very intriguing photo. Love the textures, and the lighting. I like this a lot.

Hi Glennie,
The soft subdued light is quite nice and perfect for this kind of intimate scene. All of those intertwined roots lead me around the frame and let me explore all the nuances. I also quite like the patterns created by the ripples in the water. Very nicely done; no suggestions from me.

A great post, Glennie. It reminds me of stained glass, very rich light and colors.
