Hi Sandy, what a handsome bird and so well captured here. Love the pose with the raised wings. I also really like the bird’s coloring with the muted yellow. Composition looks good to me with the stem of the flower coming in from the left. Nice exposure and details. Well done.

I think you have a winner here. Pose is great and the Salvia flower is a nice target for drawing the eye up to the hummingbirds. You could get by with slightly less sharpening, but this one will make a beautiful print as presented. Well done…Jim

Jim - the salvia does look a little too sharpened, but that is actually what it looked like even in the Raw file.
Thanks for the positive comments! No OOF hummers or anything else removed or “fixed” from this one, so this is heading to the NANPA competition next year.
