I got this little cutie passing by out back yesterday. I never tire of capturing spotted fawns.
Anything? Cropping? Exposure?

What strikes me first looking at your image Dave, is the beautiful rim/backlighting which is perfect for a spotted fawn! I also really like the fact that you caught the fawn not looking directly at the camera. I think the non-direct look towards a camera is more pleasing for a lot of wildlife images especially with deer. When they are looking directly at the camera it says to me: “gotcha!” which, personally, I try to avoid. The ruffled fur and back left leg also tells a story in itself, this is not some wildlife park image!
I do find the background a bit distracting, I would like it to be more out of focus, but not sure what aperture and distance you were shooting at to see if you had more leeway to throw the BG more OOF. I would also remove the branch in front of the rear legs, my eye keeps getting drawn to it. Other than that I think you have a fine capture there!
