House Fly - Phaonia angelicae I think (inaturalist wasn’t sure)
The photographer is looking for thoughtful feedback on the image as a whole, especially around the areas noted below.
About This Image
Ok first time - this one is my first proper attempt at a hand stacked 11 images and truly was a very small fly.
Feedback Requested
Just thoughts on the presentation within the limits of the technical kit I had - hand held
The DOF was so narrow but I’m pleased - as a starting point anyway.
Does the stalk the fly was on look silly?? It seems to emphasise the DOF narrative and they look good blurred - just a very abrupt transition - again part of the narrative.
The full frame uncropped example shows what I was trying…
Couldn’t get closer or it would have moved!
