About This Image
I headed to one of the beatiful beech forest close to my home for the annual autumn event. My intention was to photograph water movement when I realised that those leavers in the water were trapped by the water circulation, which made them twirling in this endeless dancing.
Feedback Requested
I’d like feedback on whether the composition guides attention clearly, or whether anything pulls the eye away.

This is a really great interpretation of the theme, Paolo. That eddy of leaves is wonderful. the issue I have with your image as posted is that, for this theme, the eddy gets rather lost in the larger image. If you have the pixels, I think you could crop much tighter around the swirl of leaves. It does leave out a good share of the environment, so if that’s important to your concept, by all means, leave it the way it is, which is a fine image of this scene in itself. I took the liberty of downloading your image and recropping it, then circles some tiny distracting elements in red.
Paolo, I like how you’ve balanced the big V of bright trees at the top with the big V of floating leaves at the bottom. While this doesn’t make the swirl of leave the main focus of attention, they add well to the overall story. One thing you can do to bive the swirl more attention is to do some mid-tone dodging of the swirl. I like that how you’ve made this a fine forest scene, with a surprise near the center.
