One more image from my redwoods trips 3 months ago. I came across the little tree that was hunched over and looking for all the world like it was a struggle to survive deep under the canopy of the redwoods…except there was this beautiful shaft of light coming through the canopy and striking this little tree. I thought it told a story of how hard it is for smaller trees to succeed in the dark environment of the redwood forest.
