Webinar - Compress to Impress: Using a Long Lens for Landscapes by Zalman Wainhaus

About the Webinar

In the world of landscape photography, wide angle lenses tend to be much more popular than telephoto, or long, lenses. It makes sense, of course. Wide angle lenses offer us the ability to capture everything our eyes can see all in one frame, and they’re a lot easier to carry around!

Yet limiting ourselves to exclusively using a wide angle lens for landscapes is, well, limiting. In this webinar, we will see why a long lens can sometimes be the best lens to use when photographing landscapes, and how it can unlock our creativity and photographic freedom far beyond what we thought was possible.

About the Presenter

Zalman is a landscape photographer and painter based in the desert Southwest of the United States. He is passionate about finding creative ways to showcase details in familiar landscapes that make us stop and marvel at nature’s beauty. Though he enjoys exploring the desert Southwest on his own, in the peace and quiet, he is moderately successful at convincing his twin 3 year old boys to tag along with him. His favorite place to ponder nature’s beauty is Death Valley National Park.
