Sweet!! Iā€™m wondering about a crop from the left to remove the half flower.

That could be a Ceanothus, often called a California Lilac. There are many species, ranging from little bushes to small trees.

Hi Diane, Thanks for your suggestion to crop from the left. I also cropped to a square. I am glad to have the name of the plant. It is unusual to see a little tree with blue flowers. It does look similar to lilacs I grew up with in New England.
