From time to time I visit the Söderåsens NP, which is situated only 2 hours travel from my home. When there I love to walk along the creek that runs along the valley floor, searching for smaller scenes like this one.

Nice to see you posting again. What a cool little group posing on a drift of bubbles. Nice that they are so white…unless you desaturated them which is what I sometimes have to do because of our tannic water which stains them yellow. The shapes and textures are well presented and I like the odd shapes made by the leaf overlap and the bubbles themselves. Not sure about cutting off the leaf on the left, but there may have been something else there that wasn’t helpful. It feels so delicate and airy. Just the thing I might have noticed, too. Thanks for sharing.

This is quite uniquely beautiful. Unique simply because of the arrangement and shapes, but also the contrast of white on black with the color definining the vegetation. Like Kris, I too would have been attracted to this scene - and it’s always advised to look down while we’re walking about nature. Beautifully seen and captured.
I don’t mind the twig being cut off on the left - in fact it’s in tune with the patch of foam cropped at the left. If anything, I’m kinda wishing I could see the full curve of white on the right, but I suspect the more room added to the right (if it were feasible) would create too much empty space in the LR. In any event, I think the vertical crop here really helps bring back the emphasis to the twig and leaves. Processing looks great!
This is a nice intimate scene you’ve photographed here Ola. The arrangement of the leaves and branch are used to good effect, and the color contrast against the black and white theme of the rest of the image makes them stand out so well. The details of the bubbles along the edge of the snow/ice patch adds more punch to the image. Fine work!
I have an image with all of the white bubbles area within the frame, but I liked the most this one zooming on the leaves. But I will revisit the other image with your comments in mind.

Or maybe a tighter crop. Something about this feels sort of in-between. Maybe because the long, skinny leaf is right in the middle of the frame?
I have some images with larger msrgins, so I will try out some different crops.
Agree, I also like the bubbles a lot. I just wishes that I found that out already in the field taking a close-up of the bubbles in the lower part of the frame!
