All the Tea in China

I was very fortunate to be able to spend a month touring China in 2008. This was a very small group with a single guide. Tea is a major commodity in China. There are many plantations and this is just one of them in Southeast China. We were taken on a tour of the facility which ended with a tea ceremony and lots of tea to drink. The tea in China is nothing like what we see in the United States. It has far more nuances and flavor profiles than anything we see here including herbal teas. I was pretty impressed. I still have some that I bought and it surprisingly is good as it was when we purchased it 24 years ago.
