An underwater spring

This is a view from Mike Ramy’s boat looking down through the very clear water at one of the many springs feeding Florida’s Salt Springs. The bottom can easily be seen through 8 - 10 feet of water. The clear areas are white sand where the water bubbles up. (5D3, 24-105 @ 97, 1/400 s, f/10, iso 800, 78% FF)

Beautiful crystal clear water, Mark. It looks like a close up of a precious gem. Nicely done.

It’s interesting how our minds work. I see what @linda_mellor is talking about the precious gem, but the first thing that came to my mind is the pattern on a peacock’s tail.

Great colors and patterns. I might be inclined to crop down to eliminate the darker areas at the top? Good entry.
