The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
During my first attempt at deep sky photography, I capture this image of Andromeda using a star tracker.
25 photos stacked and some color/clarity enhancement in Photoshop. I added the star burst in the galaxy.
OK! I imaged this same target a couple of nights ago – a rare clear dark sky. Haven’t processed it yet – I got about 4 hours of acquisition and will process in PixInsight, which will take all night to run the calibration and preprocessing steps, then I’ll need to do some further work in PI. Maybe I’ll get it started tonight. But in terms of bang for the buck, you did OK. There is some star movement – can you give details of the camera, lens and exposure? The star trails are probably due to polar alignment being off. The starburst is a fun idea.
