60-2 minute light frames,
15 dark, 15 flat, 15 bias
PP in Astropixel, Capture one, Affinity photo.

It’s amazing the quality you can get with modern cameras, combined with the star tracker equipment. I also like those smaller points of light (galaxies too, far far away?) that surround the nebula. Kind of a nice balance. Super job!

Dan, I think you are getting good subs but your software is letting you down. The blue cast here is not what you should be getting, nor is the odd transition to pink in the center of the galaxy.

I love the composition that you have used, it is just so nicely balanced. The triangle effect is very powerful visually. I’m more or less ignorant about serious astro photography, I’ll freely admit that. But even though it may not be scientifically accurate, I find the blue color cast appealing from a creative effect perspective. I do think the pink cast in the center doesn’t work quite as well, and my personal taste would be to having that a more pure white.
