I enjoy taking creative images on my hikes. This is an icm of an arbutus tree.
I wanted to interpret the tree in a contemporary way and thought the bold diagonal colours would convey that idea. Did I succeed?

This is quite lovely, Laura. I was not familiar with the arbutus tree, so I had to look it up. It’s a madrone! That I am familiar with. Lovely colors and lines in this image. I’m kind of famous for wanting to crop other folks’ pictures, and I can see several ways to crop this and have two images or create a triptych or leave it as is. It works vertically, on a shorter 4x5, and as a square.
