Asian Elephant and young one

This happens to be image from my first DSLR, taken in May 2007. Somehow this was never processed before.

Pertinent technical details or techniques: Canon 30D; 500 mm; ISO 200; 1/160 sec. at F 5.6.

(If this is a composite, etc. please be honest with your techniques to help others learn)
PS. Many times I wonder, if there is really any need to change and upgrade cameras?

This is wonderful, Jagdeep. Absolutely great interaction and you framed it perfectly.

Jagdeep, the details in the large version (with all the wrinkled skin) are terrific. The interaction, with your focus on the youngster also looks great. It’s definitely got an outstanding awwwww factor.
