Hi Steve,
I found the transitions tough to get my head around in this image. It appears that the light source is behind you but there is a strong dark to bright transition from right to left. Maybe I’m seeing this wrong but the dark shadow at the right of frame seems out of place.
Definitely a good note, this photo has been feeling off to me and no amount of postprocessing has been able to make me like it proper.
I will try cropping differently, that dark right side is definitely distracting
Cropping out the black on the right is definitely a good idea. I also thing the image is too warm and saturated. The light is pretty harsh even though it’s late in the day.
It’s definitely bright low sun at sunset and I agree with the harshness and oversaturation. Do you have any advice on how to account for that?
