Autumn Wonderland

On my way down to Blackwater Falls I had to stop and photograph this scene.

Fantastic image, Mike. I am very much enjoying the POV and I love the way the leading lines of the handrails and steps direct me into this lovely scene. The carpet of fallen leaves on the landscape works beautifully as do those perched precariously on the evergreens. I also like the subtle light toward the bottom of the stairs. That was a great two days of shooting in the rain as we timed the fall color perfectly. I only have one minor suggestion. I would clone out the post in the LLC along with the brown leaf hanging down toward the middle upper part of the frame.

Cool perspective and a very inviting scene. I would love to take that stroll. Well done.

What a cool perspective this is !!!

I think this image works really well. It make me wonder what is at the bottom of the stairs, a journey that I’d love to take. Another small touch that I like is how the fallen leaves are sprinkled across the spruce tree on the right, " Autumn’s Sprinkles". Images with leading lines don’t get much better than this, great work Mike.
