I took this photo yesterday morning at a local wildlife management area that also has fields of sunflowers. This bee was more than happy to have his photo taken.

Shawn, you captured some wonderful details in the bee. He doesn’t seem to mind you photographing him, he is too busy what the business at hand. Normally, I would rather have more space for him to “move”, but I kind of like the way you included the soft oof petals of the sunflower. Very nice.
Good job of the needed DOF on the bee. I’d consider bringing out more shadow detail and cropping to remove most of the petals on the left. All the visual weight is on the right half.
Shawn, the yellow/black color combo looks good here. The visual lead-in of sharp stamen on the right is nice as are the oof petals.
