Nice catch Allen. Love the pose with the head turn giving us a great look. Fine details. Love the cocked tail so typical of wrens. Really shows off their attitude. I like the BG - goes well with the “in the brambles” view without being distracting IMO.

Hi Allen
When I first looked the Bewick’s Wren, I thought it was a bit over powering. The sharpness of the eye, bill and breast feathers, along with that creamy background, just overwhelmed my senses. But after a couple of minutes of just looking at the photograph, my eye came back to the Wren’s eye, bill an top breast feathers. Nice work.

Very cool portrait of this bird, Allen. My personal taste would be for a little looser composition if you have it, but there might be a lot of junk in the way.

A nice look at a Bewick’s wren. I’ve only seen a couple and they are very elusive. A tight comp, but my guess is that more of the surroundings would take away from the subject. Head is focused and very sharp. Well done…Jim
